At PBT, we're proud to celebrate the achievement of a 4 Star Green Star - Design & As Built certified rating for our Ruakura Superhub facility. 

The Superhub sits at the nexus of the golden triangle of Tauranga, Auckland and Hamilton. Adjacent to the East Coast Main Trunk rail line and the Waikato Expressway. The location provides excellent connectivity to both the Port of Tauranga and the Port of Auckland.

This certification is provided by the New Zealand Green Building Council. A 4 - Star green rating means that the building has been designed and built using best practice benchmarks for a lower carbon, high performing building. Green initiative's and the rating relate to management, indoor air-quality, energy, transport, water, material, land use and emissions.   

This milestone reflects our ongoing commitment to reducing emissions and building a more sustainable freight network. Together with Tainui Group Holdings and Calder Stewart, we set out to design a facility that supports our operations while prioritising long-term environmental performance - and we're thrilled to see that vision recognised. 

With 4 Star Green ratings now held by both our Ruakura and Auckland sites, we're continuing to take meaningful steps towards creating a lower-carbon network and a better tomorrow for Aotearoa.
